Upon moving to the US, Yili gained one year of experience in Richmond adult Chinese School and three years of experience in online Mandarin teaching, specializing in children aged 4-10. Her teaching encompasses a wide range of skills, from basic conversation to advanced character reading and writing, tailored to the individual needs of her students.
Yili prioritizes interactivity in her classes, incorporating storytelling, crafts, songs, and various games and activities. She possesses strong skills in designing interactive slideshows, learning materials and worksheets customized for students at different proficiency levels. In her free time,

She has experience teaching at the Bechtel International Center at Stanford University, working with adult learners, and at the Pittsburgh Chinese Academy, where she taught both American and Chinese heritage younger learners.
Her teaching style focuses on real-life contexts and helps students apply what they have learned in class to their daily lives.
She has been a member of ACTFL and CLTA (Chinese Language Teachers Association).
During her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, listening to jazz music, and spending time with her daughter.
