She has 16 years of teaching experience in K-12 and higher education, including posts in the US, Germany, Spain, and Peru.
Known for her enthusiasm and energetic style, Kristin was named Teacher of the Year by The Gwinnett School for Mathematics, Science, and Technology in 2015.
Before launching Enjoyable Languages, she taught Spanish and German at Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond.
Kristin served as director of Georgia’s American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese’s (AATSP) Spanish immersion camp for 3 years and assistant director of Middlebury-Monterey Language Academy’s (MMLA) Spanish immersion camp for 4 years at Swarthmore College and in Granada, Spain. At these camps, students would sign a language pledge to commit to speaking only the target language.
She is the owner and cofounder of Enjoyable Languages, which was launched in January 2021.

Betsy is passionate about helping you learn and practice the German language, whether that be a beginner's introduction or help or supplements to classwork or conversation practice.
She is a native speaker of German and English who has taught German to high schoolers in Virginia, plus she has several years of experience teaching elementary

Betsy is passionate about helping you learn and practice the German language, whether that be a beginner's introduction or help or supplements to classwork or conversation practice.
She is a native speaker of German and English who has taught German to high schoolers in Virginia, plus she has several years of experience teaching elementary kids in a homeschool setting.
Her B.A. degree in International Relations was sparked by an interest in various Indo-European languages; Betsy still has a working knowledge of French and (to a lesser degree) Spanish.
Online teaching during Covid set the precedent for continued online German language instruction to pre-teens, teens and (senior) adults.
She continues to work with English Language Learners (ELLs) K-5 students and adults in person, giving mainly speaking instruction to improve their American English.
She has had the pleasure of using and instructing German even in the most unexpected places in the world, which only fuels the passion for German!

Scott has been working in education for thirty years, and has taught German in Virginia high schools, at a summer immersion academy, and at an international elementary school in Germany. He has also taught Math, Science, English, and Outdoor Learning.

Scott has been working in education for thirty years, and has taught German in Virginia high schools, at a summer immersion academy, and at an international elementary school in Germany. He has also taught Math, Science, English, and Outdoor Learning.
Learning German from age 12 has opened doors for Scott, like a scholarship trip to Germany at age 17, or a Fulbright Exchange early in his teaching career.
Humor, empathy, and curiosity help Scott connect to students and motivate them to go beyond where they think they can go.
He currently teaches German, Music, and PE for the preschool and kindergarten groups at an international school in Germany.
His qualifications include a BA in German with a current Virginia teaching license for pre-K to grade 12, as well as an MA in School Management from the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern.
Scott has been living in the Düsseldorf area for the last seventeen years and enjoys music, yoga, and cooking.

Mathias is passionate about languages, culture, and education. His journey with the German language began almost twenty years ago, when he lived in Düsseldorf, Germany, as an au pair. Since then, he has devoted himself to exploring how language connects people and cultures.
He earned his B.A. in German and Portuguese, as well as in Psycho

Mathias is passionate about languages, culture, and education. His journey with the German language began almost twenty years ago, when he lived in Düsseldorf, Germany, as an au pair. Since then, he has devoted himself to exploring how language connects people and cultures.
He earned his B.A. in German and Portuguese, as well as in Psychology, and completed his M.A. in Language Studies at the Federal Fluminense University, Brazil, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on sociolinguistics and language policy in the teaching of German.
Mathias studied at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena in Germany as a UNIBRAL/CAPES scholarship recipient and holds the Goethe-Zertifikat C2.
He has taught German at universities, language programs, and as a private tutor, working with students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
In addition to teaching, Mathias works as a sworn translator and interpreter of German and as an international relations advisor at a federal public institution in Rio de Janeiro.
In his free time, he enjoys caring for his plants, reading, and walking in nature. Mathias believes that learning and teaching languages have the power to transform both individuals and the world.
